My first introduction to Park Lane was in 1989 as a guest at a show.
My friend invited me to her party. I made up my mind before I went I would only purchase one item and I would not book a show. Of course to maximize the hostess program my friend only needed one more booking.
Well, her show went so well she decided to join Park Lane as a Fashion Director. Now I felt obligated to have a show to help her earn her kit. I took the hostess packet with me to work and gathered orders from co-workers that could not attend my show. The day for my show arrived. My friend (the new Park Laner) arrived early to process the outside orders I had gathered. I was totally shocked with how easily I earned my entire wish list just with my outside orders. At the end of my show I excitely sat down to see the final total.
She made me an offer I could not refuse. She gave me the choice of just getting the free hostess credits (jewelry) or receiving a pay check along with it. Well, you see the decision I made.
